We all know that January is the busiest booking time of the year for holidays, with research indicating that 26% of UK consumers do so to avoid the dreary winter weather. UK residents spent £2.9bn on visits overseas in January 2019 (6% more than in January 2018), but UK tourism also fared well with occupancy rates at an all-time high of 76% during FY18/19. In our latest briefing, we've profiled 16 brands in the luxury travel market, ranging from boutique hotel brands, hospitality giants and even Dubai Duty-Free. With each, we have analysed their individual challenges, strategies and pointed to potential openings for agencies and properties to help them overcome the dynamic challenges of this continually growing sector.
